This 7,680 sq. ft. building will be located where our current Community Center stands. Parking will be directly north of the center, as well as other parking options that are being researched.
The Aurelia community has a need for a modern, larger, more user friendly facility that will also be more energy efficient.
The proposed new building will have a wood framed construction designed to withstand winds 150 to 200 mph. There will be a GEO Thermal heating and cooling system installed for maximum efficiency.
This facility will be able to seat just under 300 people at tables and chairs
This floor plan has been carefully laid out so more than one event could be held at the same time, utilizing the two meeting rooms. The kitchen accessible to both.
The small meeting room can double as a buffet room for weddings and larger functions.
The bar is an optional service.
Storage has been provided for the American Legion and Auxiliary.
Storage for extra tables and chairs has been incorporated into the design for optimal organization of all events.
To date, the City of Aurelia and the Aurelia Municipal Utility have each pledged $250,000 for a total of $500,000 to start this project. Your help is needed to complete the project. Your tax deductible gift will make this project a reality.
